Kokubunji International Preschool “New Years Event “

Happy New Year from Kokubunji Preschool

Welcome back and happy new year from Kokubunji Preschool ! We had an amazing winter break, and we hope you did, too! 🎆🎊

This week, we worked on decorating kites for our New Year’s event. We used colorful markers that glide and stick on plastic, making our kites look like rainbows. 🌈 🪁

Wednesday, we had music class, and we were so happy to see our music teacher. We sang songs, played with wooden finger castanets, and then our teacher read us a couple stories. 🎵🎶📚

Friday, we had our New Year’s event at Musashi-Kokubunji Park. We started with Circle Time, which is where we do stretches to warm up our bodies. Then, we sang about the weather, “What’s the weather like today? Is it sunny? Today is sunny!” Then, we took a group photo, flew our colorful kites, and watched a lion dance, where the lion bit some of us on the head, ensuring good luck in the new year. Lastly, we had lunch, and then said goodbye to our teachers. It was such a beautiful day for our wonderful event. ☀️🌳
