Kokubunji International Preschool: Dance Time, Snack Time, Graduation Saturday

When we finish the first half of Circle Time, or exercising and stretching, we are ready to dance! We dance and sing to songs like, “Move Move Move,” “Freeze Dance,” and “Action Song.” These songs get us dancing from left to right, freezing on command, and clapping, stomping and wiggling. We love to sing and dance, especially with our teachers! 💃🕺🏻🎤

After Dance Time, we start to feel a little hungry, which means it’s time for snack! Our teacher picks two of us to be Teacher’s Helpers, which means we pass out the tea bottles and plates to our classmates. Before we hand out items, we sing the tea bottle and plate song, with the main lyric being, “May I have my tea bottle/plate please?” After our singing, we say, “Thank you for the snack. Let’s eat!” We enjoy snack time and have fun pretending to share our snack with our teachers. 🍽️🫖🍵🥮

Lastly, the event of all events has finally arrived! Graduation is here, or rather, it is on Saturday! We had a practice with the kindergartners today, running through the ceremony twice. We are as ready as we will ever be, and can’t wait to graduate. It is bittersweet to be leaving preschool, but we look forward to the next level in our educational journey. 🎓🎉🎊
